AREA CONTEST CHAIR RESOURCES

District 5 will conduct the Humorous and International Speech contests in Fall 2017.  The Area Contests will be scheduled between October to mid-December to give our members and clubs time to prepare accordingly.  One contestant per club per category.  The winner of the Area Contests will move on to the Division Contests in Spring 2018.  The winner of the Division Contests will compete in the District Final at District 5 Spring Conference date TBD.  The winner of District 5  International Speech contest will move on to the semi-finals at the Toastmasters International Convention 2018 in Chicago, Illinois.

Members interested in being an Area Contest Chair can use this as an HPL project and will receive a FREE HPL Kit from the district. Please contact your area director for more information.

It is our goal in District 5 to provide members with resources for speech contests. Please understand that the resources provided are guidelines. The Speech Contest Rulebook is the final word and the Toastmasters International WHQ has the final say when it comes to clarifying speech contest rules and procedures.
