Scripps Teasers is hosting a thirty-minute Informational Contest Judges Workshop and we welcome other members within District 5 to join on November 2 promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Zoom.

This informational workshop will be hosted by Jim Taylor. Jim has been a Toastmaster for 30 years and achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster designation, won the District Five Table Topics Contest in 2015, and been a club President three times. He founded the Donovan Correction Facility Toastmasters Club, and over the years he has been a member of Toastmasters Clubs such as Fireside, Excelsior, Hardhats, and Improvicus. Jim has also served as a TEDx San Diego Speaker Coach, Writer, and Stage Director in the North Park Playwright Festival.

During our Contest Judges Informational Workshop, Jim will provide his experience to demystify and provide his insight on the 8 sections within the judge’s ballot. He will also provide practical information to judges pursuant to Scripps Teasers’ showcase which is meant to align with the Toastmasters International Contest Rulebook. Attendees are encouraged to download the most recent International Speech Contest Judges Guide and Ballot.
