102-Training Basics

District 5 invites experienced Club Officers and Past Officers to volunteer and join our team as Club Officer Trainers (COT) for the second round of training (December–February). Your hard-won expertise is crucial to shaping the next generation of 2025/2026 club leaders. This is your chance to pass on your leadership legacy, connect with dedicated district leaders, and further refine your training skills.

We will cover essential skills, including:
The critical differences between being a speaker and a trainer.
How adults effectively learn and retain information.
Strategies for preparing impactful and memorable training content.
The essential dos and don’ts of facilitation and managing participants.

What You Will Gain
Officer Credit: Earn credit for conducting a training session, counting toward your club officer responsibilities.
Skill Development: Sharpen your online presentation and facilitation skills.
Pathways Credit: Use the training experience to complete a required Pathways project.
Networking: Engage with dedicated District and Club leaders and expand your network within the Toastmasters community for future support and opportunities.
