Fall District Council Meeting Packet

Club Presidents, VPEs and members of the DEC need to register before or by Friday, Sept 20, 2024 so that we can determine if we have a quorum for the District 5 Online District Council Meeting. If we do not have a quorum we will continue to contact those members of the District Council who have not registered.

The District Council is made up of the following members: Club Presidents, VPEs and members of the DEC (The District Director, the Program Quality Director, the Club Growth Director, the Public Relations Manager, the Administration Manager, the Finance Manager, the Area Directors, and any Division Directors, together with the Immediate Past District Director, shall be the District Executive Committee). These are the voting delegates.

At the end of the registration period the Credentials Chair will ensure A) district council members have the correct number of votes and B) we have a quorum (1/3 presidents and vice presidents education).

Proxies are no longer permitted. The Club President and Vice President Education, are the club’s two voting representatives on the District Council, are expected to attend and vote at all District Council meetings (Fall/Spring). However, each club has the option to determine if one of its two representatives will carry the club’s two votes or if both representatives will carry one vote each.
