Under the direction of Toastmasters International, the District Executive Committee of District 5 met on Thursday, March 26, 2020 to decide whether to continue to conduct or cancel Speech Contests for the 2019-2020 contest cycle. After much discussion a vote was taken to cancel the Table Topics Contest and continue with the International Speech Contest.
